Birthday Trips Out, New Patterns, and Baby Samplers.....
September 20, 2013
what a busy August we have had so far....
Wednesday was my (Amanda's) birthday and so all stitching was put aside for the day and we went on an adventure to Knowsley Safari Park. We had an amazing day and I felt extremely spoilt by my family and friends. Tom pampered me from 8am until we returned home at about 8pm, and we both took the day off our day jobs which was an added bonus!
Knowsley safari park was amazing and Tom and I had a real adventure. We got to see a lot of beautiful animals were just a windscreen away from us. Sadly the first time we went around the Baboon enclosure we have a right little character sat on our car playing with the windscreen wipers, he was a very cheeky chap. However when we got to the end and checked the camera it hadn't recorded - I'm sure it was a problem with the camera and not that I hadn't hit the record button, oops.
It did mean that at the end of the day, when we had time to go around again, we actually saw more. The Lions were a lot more lively and played around the cars (with two walking straight in front of our car) and this time around we had several baboons playing on our car rather than the one we had at first (one even left us a nice little surprise on our bonnet - that Tom cleaned away before we set off home).
We have also been working on a number of different, top-secret patterns that we are very excited to share with you once we have sorted out the copyright on them. They are a series and will centre around one particular character that we need to introduce you all to, some of you will recognise them but we can not wait for the rest of you to meet them.
Finally, we have been working on a special baby pattern for some close friends of ours which we will be able to share with you properly in a week after they have received the finished gift.
Another adventure this weekend, as we are back off to Essex camping. There is no competition this time (there will still be bikes), just a lot of fun to be had with friends.
Don't forget to like our facebook page, as we are still running the competition to win the Minion Pattern once we reach 150 likes! www.facebook.com/StitchedWithLoveByUs
